What am I missing? I can't export my traced vector with the vector layers intact. What's the point of that?

2013-12-12 01:45:35
Note that I'm using the iTrace program. I can export in SVG but only Illustrator will open it. I'm trying to eliminate Illustrator from my workflow--that's why I bought this program, to do the one thing I use Illustrator for. My other image editing programs (Pixelmator and Fireworks) can't open SVG and the PNG format is flattened so it's a bitmap!

If the program can't export a layered PNG file, then I would like a refund. It's useless to me.

iTrace can not export layered files. You can contact Apple for refund, and we suggest you use our iVinci which contain iTrace module and layer edit.

Two ways:
1. Drag and drop the SVG file to Safari window.
2. Right Click the SVG and select "Open with" on the menu.

Hi, i have an enduring problem - when scrolling down the browsing photo list pictures/group of pictures easily get selected/highlighted. Happens almost every time i'm using the application. I've been using Pics for quite a while now and never encountered any problems before installing 3.8 version. I downloaded the bug fix, tried rebooting my ipad many times but nothing seems to work. Could you please advice me something? I really like the application and i'm using it for my daily work. Thanks! Reply

Maybe this is the problem of your hardware.

hi, no, this is not an option since i have the application on 3 different devices: 2 iPads (the newest one and the one from 2011) and on my iphone 5 and the same problem occurs on all of them after i upgraded to ios7. Do you have any solution? i saw this problem occuring in the comments of other users too...

You can open your svg file with Safari, and then export as PDF.

1. Try to delete the app and re-install.
2. Try to reboot your device.
3. Open your Settings App, reset the location & privacy.

What format do images need to be in order to import them into iVinci? It does not allow me to pick jpg's and when I drop an image via finder, it won't live trace propelry Reply

JPG or PNG required. Image importing from "File" menu does not work properly on 10.9 and we had submit a new version to fix this, please wait a few days. Drop image to import had no problem, what do you mean "it won't live trace properly"?
